Equity in Sport

Berkshire Sport: Inclusive Sport
"Equity within sport is not just about equal numbers; it is more concerned with equal chance. It encompasses fairness, justice, inclusion and respect for diversity across the whole scope of sport and physical activity. Sports equity is about ensuring those people who choose to take part within sport and physical activity have an equal chance to do so; and that no one is discriminated within sports participation on the grounds of: age, colour, ability, ethnic minority, parental or marital status, nationality, religious belief, social status or sexual preference"
