Clubmark

Clubmark is used by National Governing Bodies of Sport (NGB's), as part of their club accreditation programmes for sports clubs with junior sections in recognition of a quality club. By creating a single, national standard, Clubmark helps give all kinds of sports clubs with a junior section the structure and direction that will benefit in several ways:

  • Ensure the well-being of young people whilst in the care of adults, other than their legal parent(s)/carer(s).
  • Enthuse young people to enjoy sport and active recreation to build a healthy and active lifestyle.
  •  Enable young people to use their leisure time creatively.
  • Allow young people to optimise their talents and personal ability.
  • Identify and support the development of the most talented young people.

To find out if your club is eligible for Clubmark click on the link below. The Clubmark website contains a national database of all of the clubs having achieved or currently working towards accreditation, and benefits of achieving the national award.

Berkshire Sport Clubmark

Berkshire Sport Clubmark Information

Only clubs affiliated to a Sport England recognised NGB can gain Clubmark accreditation. However, clubs are not disadvantaged simply because the NGB in their sport is not licensed to accredit. A licensed CSP can also accredit clubs in its area that belong to a Sport England recognised sport. Berkshire Sport is one of a number County Sports Partnership (CSP) to become licensed to accredit Clubmark.

Berkshire Sport now has a network of assessors and support officers in place to work with sports clubs to achieve accreditation. A support officer will be allocated to a club and will explain the procedures.

NGB Support
The network of assessors and support officers are also available to support any club going through their respective NGB’s accreditation system. If you have clubs going through the process and are interested in receiving support for these clubs please contact Berkshire Sport directly to discuss.

Charter Standard

The FA Charter Standard Programme provides recognition that clubs are well run and sustainable, with child protection and safety paramount. It also recognises a club's commitment to coaching, player and coach development, and the raising of standards of behaviour in the game - all of which are big priorities for The FA
